My idea for this poster came from looking at the local plant life of California. Compared to the non-tropical plant life of my home state (New York), California houses plants resilient to the hot sun and less rainfall. While doing research for this project, I learned how essential it is to plant flora that matches the local climate, since it helps protect the ecosystem’s stability and conserve water.
My goal during this project was to explore the variety of colors found in plant life and bring that variety into my color system.
It is a future goal of mine to expand on this project by making more posters based on different states and their local ecosystems.
